VJ Commemoration Day
Commemoration in Poole Park
The Royal British Legion Poole Branch held an annual short service of commemoration and wreath laying at the Burma Star Memorial in Poole Park at 11am, 15 August. Chairman of BCP Council, and the Mayors of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and the Sheriff of Poole attended the event.
The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Avril Coulton attended the commemoration on behalf of the Mayor, Cllr Mrs Sue Bungey.
