Christchurch Town Council is one of the newly formed Town Council’s in Dorset following Local Government Re-Organisation in 2019. The Town Council serves a population of approximately 48,000 residents. As part of its growth and development the Town Council now requires a Full-time Projects Officer initially for a two-year fixed term. The Council has a range of exciting projects planned which span the breadth of the Councils services such as parks and open spaces, buildings and maintenance and exciting initiatives such as bringing back Britain in Bloom to Christchurch and increasing playground offerings across the Town. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an interesting and varied role with scope to take on a variety of different tasks. The main area of work for the Projects Officer will be to support the production and delivery of key projects across the authority through an effective system of project management.
Reporting to the Town Clerk direct, you will work across a range of service areas providing project advice, taking an innovative and forward-thinking approach to solutions.
This role is initially for a full-time two-year fixed term position working 37hrs per week. For more information about this role, please view the job description and person specification.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual that has experience as a project professional and who has the confidence and ability to work and communicate with various individuals, groups and stakeholders across the Council.
You will have a varied project experience preferably with an evidenced background in delivering building projects. It is also desirable if you have previous local government experience.
