Sandra Prudom

Sandra was born in West Africa, as part of an Army family, and has lived and travelled all over the world, but always wanted to settle in Christchurch, and to give something back for that privilege. She taught for 6 years in London before moving down to join the rest of her family here in 1983, then spent 24 years as a local estate agent in Mudeford, before being called into full time church ministry as a minister for community. She then returned full time to a community development role with Help & Care before moving to her current position  as Chief Executive Officer for Christchurch Community Partnership, a local charity seeking to alleviate social isolation, and with which she has been involved from its inception in 2001.

Sandra has been a ‘lifelong’ volunteer – being a previous chair of Stanpit & Mudeford Residents Association, a founder member and chair of the steering group for Christchurch Food Bank, and currently an Emergency Response volunteer for the British Red Cross. She has a wonderful daughter, Laura, and a very cute dog, Chewie, and loves spending time walking with them both on Stanpit Marsh, as well as reading, travelling, socializing, and watching good films.
